Ha is Director of the Thang Long Institute of Mathematics and Applied Sciences; professor and former director of the Institute of Mathematics (Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology), member of the State Council for Professor promotion of Vietnam, Chairman of the Council for Professor promotion in Mathematics. His main area of research is analysis and number theory. He has found a generalization of Nevanlinna theory for p-adic functions, and has also found an interpolation theorem for unbounded p-adic analytic functions, also applicable to p-adic L-functions. He is a member of the Vietnamese Academy of Science and Technology.

Hamid is a distinguished social scientist and a pioneering figure in gerontology, renowned for her contribution to gerontology education, research, and policy development in Malaysia and the surrounding region. She established a multi- and trans-disciplinary research institute at Universiti Putra Malaysia, in 2002, and was appointed as its founding director. The Institute was awarded the national status of Malaysian Research Institute on Ageing, in 2015, and Hamid remained as its first director until 2020. The institute spearheaded research programmes and established postgraduate programmes in social gerontology, medical gerontology, and gerontechnology, which attracted local and international students. As a professional in the field of gerontology, Hamid sits in several national and international committees related to population aging. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Science Malaysia and is actively involved in civil society organisations related to older persons and social welfare development in Malaysia. She was an independent director of the Private Pension Administration Malaysia (2020–2024), and was appointed as chairperson from 25 June 2024 until 2026.

Hasan retired as Senior Professor at the National Centre for Biological Sciences, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Bangalore, India. After completing five years post-retirement as SERB-Distinguished Fellow, currently she is a CHINTA Distinguished Fellow at NCBS. She obtained her Ph.D at the University of Cambridge, UK, in 1983. Research from her group has contributed to an understanding of signaling mechanisms underlying maturation of neural circuits and their dysregulation in disease. Her memberships include the Indian National Science Academy and the Indian Academy of Sciences.

Hasanuzzaman is a professor of agronomy at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He earned his PhD at Ehime University, Japan, and completed his postdoctoral research at the University of the Ryukyus, Okinawa, Japan. Subsequently, he became an adjunct senior researcher at the University of Tasmania. Hasanuzzaman has more than 400 Scopus-indexed publications, of which more than 250 in the Web of Science. His publications are cited over 41000 times as per Scopus with an H-index of 99 (as of July 2026). He is an editor and a reviewer for more than 80 peer-reviewed international journals and the recipient of Publons Peer Review Award (in 2017, 2018, and 2019). In 2014, he received the TWAS Young Scientist Award. He was also awarded the University Grants Commission Gold Medal, the Bangladesh Academy of Sciences Gold Medal Award, the Global Network of Bangladeshi Biotechnologists Award and the Society for Plant Research Young Scientist Award. He is a Fellow of the Bangladesh Academy of Sciences, the Royal Society of Biology, and the Linnean Society of London. He was named as a Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate (2021, 2022).

Hasna earned a PhD in electrical engineering from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities (2003) and has over than 25 years of academic experience. At Qatar University, he served as head of Electrical Engineering Department, dean of College of Engineering, and vice-president and chief academic officer. Hasna was a founding member of the Society of Qatari Engineers, IEEE Qatar section, and co-established the Qatar Mobility Innovation Center at Qatar Science and Technology Park. As a prolific researcher, he has published more than 250 publications with a total of over 10,000 citations. He was the first from Qatar to be included in Thomson Reuters' highly-cited list of researchers, in 2015. His research focuses on wireless communication, including a project with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to establish an affordable network connecting the Comoros Islands. Hasna serves on senior committees: the National Education Excellence Award's Board of Trustees and the Energy and Industry Qatarization Awards Advisory Committee. He represents Qatar in the Arabian Gulf University's Board of Trustees since 2014.

Hassan obtained a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom, and a PhD from Okayama University, Japan. He has more than 30 years of experience in teaching and research. In 2002, he was promoted to the rank of professor of environmental biotechnology at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). Following his retirement from UPM, he continues to serve the university as a consultant fellow on a contractual basis. Throughout his career, Hassan has been extensively involved in international projects on biomass utilization, bioenergy, and zero-emission technologies, particularly in collaboration with Yoshihito Shirai of the Kyushu Institute of Technology, Japan, and the palm oil industry. He has successfully secured numerous research and development grants from both national and international funding agencies, as well as private-sector partners. In 2012, he established the Serdang Biomass Town and Biorefinery on the UPM campus. From 2013 to 2018, he led the international SATREPS project on biomass utilization and zero-emission technologies for palm oil mills, jointly funded by the governments of Japan and Malaysia.

Hassan is currently president of Sudanese National Academy of Sciences. He was professor and dean of the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences, University of Khartoum; chairman of the International Advisory Board of the Centre for International Development, Germany; president of the InterAcademy Partnership; founding executive director and president of TWAS; president of the African Academy of Sciences; founding president of the Network of African Science Academies; chairman of the Council of the United Nations University; chairman, Honorary Presidential Advisory Council for Science and Technology, Nigeria. Among his honours: comendator, Grand Cross, and National Order of Scientific Merit, Brazil; and officer, Order of Merit of the Italian Republic. He is a recipient of G77 Leadership Award and the Abdus Salam Medal for Science and Technology. He is a member of several merit-based academies of science, which include Pakistan Academy of Sciences; Academy of Sciences of South Africa; the Pontifical Academy of Sciences; Hassan II Academy of Science and Technology; the American Academy of Arts and Sciences; and the Royal Society.

Hassan has focused his attention on the genotypic and phenotypic variables concerning hypertension in the Middle East, and a study of the personal and environmental influences on the physical fitness in urban and rural youth of the region. He is professor and chair of physiology, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat, Oman. He was previously chairman of the department of physiology, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He has received the Pan Arab Hypertension Society Award in 1999 and the Asian Federation Olympic Committee Award in 2000. He is a professor at the Center for Excellence in Molecular Plant Sciences, Institute of Plant Physiology and Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He earned his Master of Science degree in plant genetics and breeding and completed his PhD in plant pathology at Zhejiang University (formerly Zhejiang Agriculture University). Following his graduate studies, he pursued postdoctoral research with the Plant Molecular and Cellular Biology laboratory at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, and the Department of Plant Pathology, at the University of California, Davis. In December 2000, he was appointed as a full professor and principal investigator at the Institute of Plant Physiology and Ecology, Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, CAS. His research focuses on understanding the mechanisms of disease resistance to ensure better crop production, while reducing the use of fungicides and promoting environmentally friendly agriculture. His research interests include functional genomics, mechanisms and application of plant disease resistance, in particular broad-spectrum disease resistance genes, and the cross-talk between plant defense and growth/yield.

Heilbron earned a Bachelor of Science (1980) and a Master of Science in geology (1984) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and a PhD in geosciences from São Paulo University (1993). She carried out postdoctoral studies at the Université du Québec à Montréal, working with Uranium–lead dating geochronology (2000–2001), and at Salzburg University, Austria (2018–2019), where she carried out Argon-Argon geochronology and tectonics. She completed her senior internships at Mainz University, Alberta University at Edmonton, ANU in Australia and Portsmouth University, UK. Presently, she is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Science and TWAS. In 1983, she joined the Geology Institute of Rio de Janeiro State University as a full professor. Besides teaching, she coordinated the postgraduate programme, and directed the Geology Institute (2003–2006). She served as the provost of postgraduate studies and research (2000–2015), and was appointed director of the International Office of UERJ in 2024. She is head of the GeoAtlantic Institute (CNPq) and of the Tektos Research Group developing research and applied projects.

Heong is Qiushi Chair professor Zhejiang University and Sr. Advisor, Center for Agricultural Biosciences Internatl. (CABI), Malaysia . He obtained his BSc (zoology) from U. of Malaya; his MSc, PhD and DSc from Imperial College, London. He is recognized internationally as an authority on science, technology and the implementation of pest ecology, biodiversity, ecological engineering, farmers' decision-making and pest management. He has served as a snr. res. off., Malaysian Agric. Res & Development Inst, and principal scientist, International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), Philippines. Hildebrand is Regents Professor Emeritus of Neuroscience at the University of Arizona in Tucson. He received his baccalaureate degree (biology) from Harvard University and PhD (biochemistry) from Rockefeller University. After 16 years of faculty service at Harvard and Columbia Universities, he moved to Arizona in 1985 as Founding Head of the Division of Neurobiology (1985–2009), later the Department of Neuroscience (2009–2013). Research fields: insect neurobiology and behavior, olfaction, chemical ecology, and arthropod vector biology. Le Tuân Hoa is a full professor of the Institute of Mathematics Hanoi (IMH), Vietnam Academy of Sciences and Technology. He graduated in Belorussia, obtained his PhD in 1990 at University of Halle, Germany and Doctor of Science in 1995 at the IMH. He joined IMH in 1981, where he served as a Deputy-Director from 1998 to May 2011, and director from 2013 to 2017. From June 2011 to October 2013 he was seconded to the Vietnam Institute of Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM) and took the position of Managing director there. He also served as the president of the Vietnam Mathematical Society (VMS) for the terms 2008 - 2013 and the president of the South East Asian Mathematical Society (SEAMS) for the terms 2012-2013. From 2018 to 2025, he was the chair of Section Mathematics of the State Council for Professorship of Vietnam. He is elected as an IMU/ CDC Member for the period 2023-2026, and a member of TWAS Council for the terms 2023-2026. His research focuses on the complexity of algebraic objects. He has more than 60 publications.

Holden earned his PhD in mathematics from the University of Oslo in 1985, and is Doctor honoris causa, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, Hanoi. Since 1986 he has been working at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway, where he became a full professor in 1991. He is Secretary General of the International Mathematical Union (2015–2022); Vice-president of the European Mathematical Society (2007–10) and Secretary (2003–06). Holden is an elected member of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters, the Royal Norwegian Society of Sciences and Letters (President 2014–16), the Norwegian Academy of Technological Sciences, the Academia Europaea, the European Academy of Sciences. He is Fellow of the American Mathematical Society and of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics. In 2024 he was appointed Knight of 1st Class of the Royal Norwegian Order of Saint Olav.

Hong is the head of (Hong Tao) Acadamician’s Lab, Institute for Viral Disease Control and Prevention, China CDC; director, Inst. of Biology and Biotech., Beijing Jiaotong University; professor, Peking Union Medical College; and member, Chinese Academy of Engineering, 1995. His contributions include: 1) discovery of the Adult Diarrhoea Rotavirus (ADRV), which has been genetically characterized and classified to be the unique human group B rotavirus; 2) discovery of the morphology and identification of Hantavirus; and 3) pioneering study on Prion diseases in China. His 18 awards include the Meritous Service Award and WHO National Nature Science Awards. His memberships include: Chinese Society of Microbiology; Chinese Medical Association; American Society of Virology; Intl. Soc. of Electron Microscopy; and president, Public Health and Medicine, Pacific Science Association.

Hong is a Distinguished Research Fellow at the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Dean of the School of Economics and Management at University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is a Fellow of the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) and the Econometric Society, a Senior Fellow of the Rimini Center for Economic Analysis (RCEA) and the Asian Bureau of Finance and Economic Research (ABFER), and a Vice Chair of Steering Committee for Economics Teaching in Higher Education under Chinese Ministry of Education. He obtained his PhD in Economics from UC San Diego in 1993 and joined Cornell University that same year, later serving as the Ernest S. Liu Professor of Economics and International Studies and Professor of Statistics from 2010 to 2020. Professor Hong was President of the Chinese Economists Society in North America from 2009 to 2010. His research interests include model specification testing and evaluation, nonlinear time series and generalized spectral analysis, structural changes and time-varying econometrics, financial econometrics, interval-valued data analysis, and machine learning econometrics.

A prominent physical chemist and nanomaterial expert, Dr. HOU has made significant contributions in synthesis and characterization of nanomaterial and nanostructures, physical and chemical properties of single molecules and their assemblies, and scanning tunnel microscopy. He studied physics at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) from 1978, completing his Bachelor degree in 1983 and then received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in 1986 and 1989, respectively. From 2008 to 2015, Dr. HOU held the position as President of USTC until he became Vice Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China (MOST). Afterwards, he worked successively in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine from 2016 to 2017. In 2018 He was appointed as Vice President (full ministerial level) of CAS. He was elected CAS Member in 2003 and Fellow of the World Academy of Sciences for the advancement of science in developing countries (TWAS) in 2004. He is also Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry of UK.
