Mohamed-Elamir F. Hegazy, Professor of natural products chemistry, phytochemistry Department, National Research Centre. He obtained his PhDs in 2005 and 2007 from Minia University (Egypt) and Hiroshima University (Japan), respectively. Prof. Hegazy is working in the field natural products chemistry and biotransformation of natural compounds with cultured plant cells from fifteen years ago and he has a strong experience in the isolation, purification and identification of natural compounds form medicinal plants and marine organisms using high technique for identification (1D and 2D NMR analyses). During the fifteen years that Prof. Hegazy has been publishing in the area of natural product chemistry, and his program has come to focus on the challenging as well as medically important area of biologically-active marine metabolites. His current H-index value of 15 is based on over 80 peer-reviewed articles.
