Maamon Omar Ahmed Farea is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Innovative Design and Technology, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, Malaysia. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in physics from Ibb University, Yemen, in 2010, a Master of Science in physics (2019), and a Doctor of Philosophy in materials science (2024), both from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, India. He has held academic and research appointments in Yemen, India, and Malaysia, including a lecturer position at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, and a postdoctoral research fellowships at Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, Malaysia. His research focuses on gas sensors and conducting polymer nanocomposites for air quality monitoring and sustainable energy applications. He was awarded postgraduate and doctoral scholarships by the Higher Education Commission of Yemen, as well as a postdoctoral research fellowship from Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, Malaysia.
