Biodata
Leslie Tejeda holds a Ph.D. in Food Engineering from Lund University (Sweden, 2013) and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (Bolivia, 2007). In 2024, she received a Recognition for Female Researchers from the Bolivian Chamber of Deputies, as well as the prestigious Bolivian Plurinational Prize in Science, Technology, and Innovation. She has authored over twenty scientific articles and book chapters. Her achievements include international invention patents, such as SP-25-2018 (Andean Community) for a food product, PCT/SE 2017/050790 (Sweden, 2017), and the Bolivian patent SP 00261-2015 (2015). With extensive experience in academic coordination and innovation management, she has led the TYAN Hands-On School postgraduate courses (2023–2025) and coordinated the 2024 TYAN-TWAS/UNESCO scientific workshop. Additionally, she has directed key innovation projects supported by SIDA-UMSA, the Embassy of Sweden, and partners in Colombia and Costa Rica
