Muftah Amamer Musbah Omran

Amamer M. O. Muftah holds a Master of Science (2009) and a PhD (2017) in Chemical Science and Food Technology, both from the University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), in Bangi, Malaysia. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at Bani Waleed University, in Bani Waleed, Libya, where he also serves as Dean of Faculty of Science. He has co-authored over 30 publications in scientific journals and two book chapters. His scientific interests cover the development of key preparation and characterization techniques of polymers. His background includes multiple chemical disciplines such as physical chemistry, industrial chemistry, biochemistry, and organic chemistry. He attended many conferences and workshops throughout his career gaining knowledge and a wider understanding of the professional context, and a richer professional network. His research interests include synthesis of polyesters and polyamides from vegetable oils, especially palm kernel oil; preparation of rigid, semi-flexible, flexible foams, elastomeric materials, adhesive, coating, sealants polyurethanes. He is also interested in renewable resource-based materials, natural fibre composites, biodegradable and biobased polymer.
